The beauty of Oia is matchless. It is undoubtedly the best place to watch the sunset in Santorini. You can never get tired of watching Palaia and Nea Kameni islets glistening in the clear blue waters as the sun dips into the Aegean Sea. Oia also has the famous Ammoudi port, where you can enjoy freshly cooked seafood.
Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and wine houses serving delicious food and beverages are scattered throughout the village. There are also plenty of shops to buy stylish clothes, authentic artifacts, and souvenirs from.
There is nothing better than staying among the whitewashed houses in one of the most famous villages of Santorini and overlooking the majestic water-filled Caldera with your friends and loved ones.

Myself and 2 girlfriends splurged and booked the luxurious Winemakers room to end our 2 week 50th birthday trip! The room was so lovely, beds comfortable and the breakfast served on the terrace...we felt so spoiled! The terrace of this room is huge with an incredible view of the blue domes and downtown Oia AND the sunset. It also has a lovely hot tub to soak in at the end of the day or morning and comfortable lounge chairs! We would enjoy the sunset from there and then venture out to dinner after to avoid the crowds. We found the location so great because it was out of the craziness of downtown and very quiet on our terrace and the main pool area, but easy enough to walk in to restaurants. It is also the beginning of the trail from Oia to Fira. The main pool area is on the smaller side but was perfect! Pool was great for a refreshing dip and there were always loungers available when we went down. Every staff member we came across was wonderful and helpful! Thanks for making our stay so great Kyriaki, Katerina and the rest of all the hard workers there! Everyone was so helpful in their recommendations of restaurants and organizing transfers to and from the airport, lugging all our luggage up and down the stairs, delivering delicious breakfasts. I could go on and on. My only regret is not staying longer!
Fantastic stay at Boatman House with great view especially during sunset. Can have a private dinner served with a sunset. The room is clean, bright and spacious. Had a pleasant surprise to find the bathroom with 2 separate rain showers - basically couple can bathe together. The jacuzzi is heated 24x7 and you can soak in the jacuzzi while viewing sunset. All the staff are amazing and very warm and friendly - always serve with a smile. If you are driving, there is a free carpark very close to the hotel. There is also a supermarket less than 5min walk from HotelHighly recommended.
We were so fortunate to find this gem of a place. We had a booking error on our end. The staff went above and beyond to help us out. Each room has a different theme. We stayed two nights in the Alchemist room and two nights in the musician room. Both rooms were amazing. I honestly give so much praise to all the staff. Just wonderful people. This is a very nice resort. Breakfast is included and was served to us on our own balcony
IKIES was an amazing way to conclude our stay in Greece. The service is top notch and the views are some of the best. Many tour companies stop by the top of the resort where you walk in just to show the views all of which you can see your entire stay from your private balcony. We stayed in the Alchemists Maisonette which was right next to an infinity pool overlooking the Caldera. Many of the rooms have a steam room inside and they actually work very well which is a nice touch. There’s an easy entrance for taxis to pick you up and you’re on the edge of town which is really nice and private. The main town is a short 10 minute walk, very safe, and out of the tourist crowds. The sunset catamaran cruises are very nice and dinner at Ammoudi Bay Sunset an hour before sunset is highly recommended. We had our daughter with us, but this would be an incredible anniversary type location. Did I mention the views?! The cool breeze in the mornings and evenings made it very comfortable during those times. Very relaxing!
