Oia Mare Villas

Beautiful hotel, excellent service – we couldn’t have chosen a better place for our honeymoon. Very peaceful location with a stunning sunset view directly from our room – while other visitors in Oia wait in long lines at various viewpoints, we enjoyed it from the comfort of our own terrace. Fantastic breakfasts and outstanding service from George at the pool bar. They also offer complimentary iced tea throughout the afternoon, and the bar prices are reasonable compared to nearby restaurants. Highly recommended!

A beautiful property with great view. We had an incident regarding breakfast but the rest of our stay was nothing but wonderful so I am updating my review. I believe the chef did make an effort to address the issue with a friendly greeting later when we met. All staff were great. The private villas can get a little noisy with visitors ignoring the guest only sign and the pool side a little crazy in the late afternoon depending on guests, but hey we are all here in Santorini for some fun :). We will return. Thank you for your hospitality.

We booked a cave suite with hot tub for our honeymoon. It was really excellent. We booked a transfer through the hotel, which was 55 euros each way. They had porters to take our luggage down the immense amount of stairs. The hotel was in a great spot in Oia. Lovely pool and lots of sun beds. Our room was very spacious, we loved the hot tub in the evenings when things cooled down. The hotel was awesome when we departed. We had a very late flight after check out at 11. The staff graciously let us continue to use the pool, sun beds, bar service, and offered showers and stored our luggage until they had a porter take them up to the transfer area. Really great experience and would recommend staying here in Oia!

Don’t fret the 1 star reviews, most of them sound like entitled tourists who couldn’t read the details when booking. We stayed 4 nights of our honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary here. Our check in process was seamless, took 5 minutes and were given complimentary champagne when we arrived. Staff carried luggage from the airport shuttle to the room, down and bunch of stairs. The free airport shuttle is only if you book direct through their website, if you book through 3rd party sites, expect a $55 charge per 2 people for airport transfer. This is totally reasonable, and the transfer staff were in the arrivals at the airport with a big sign. Driver was super friendly and provided water as soon as we got in the shuttle. Driver explained many things to do and see on the 20 minute ride to the resort. We booked a cave suit with hot tub. It was a very large room and AC was cold. The hot tub was slightly in the cave but honestly this was way better than it being out in the sun. Breakfast was good, I’d say 4/5. Could use some more “American” options but that’s just me being from North America. A self serve espresso/ cappuccino machine at breakfast would go a long way at a small cost to the resort. Our room was clean and modern, very nice bathroom. Front desk staff were very helpful in booking ATV rentals, restaurant reservations and overall recommendations. Very few resorts / rooms in Oia have an actual sunset view, but this resort has its own private rooftop patio for viewing the sunset. Literally 1000s of people cling to any west facing staircase every night at sunset, and it felt nice to have our own space for viewing it without fighting shoulder to shoulder with tourists.
